Welcome

Welcome to the world of Global Riders!

This site is a showcase of all the content from the Global Riders Network.

That being the case, visitors to this site may well see a lot more information and discussion than they are really interested in. It is recommended that visitors browse on a more localised partner site that has a limited amount of content. These sites are listed on the the Global Riders Network homepage.

That said, it's always interesting to see what's happening elsewhere in the world, so feel free to browse around.

Enjoy! Smiling

Knapsack Fire

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Below is a preview, click to read the full post

A bushfire occurred early yesterday afternoon at Knapsack Reserve, approximately 8ha. All people; riders and pedestrians need to stay out of the burnt areas at Knapsack Reserve.

None of the burnt bushland areas have been assessed in regard to risk management issues; specifically burnt trees and burnt tree limbs - so do not enter any of the burned areas - for your own sake.

Some track closures have been put in place and are signposted. Burnt areas need to be left alone and not traversed. The DH remains open. No XC has been impacted.

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Manly Dam
Meeting Point:

King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Lets do 2-2.5 hours riding this Saturday at Manly Dam and the surrounding trails. The ride will take in parts of the Dam circuit, the Possum/Kevin Costner single track and the Pipeline fire road. I have ridden this area many times and do the regular Dam circuit (10.5km) in a sub 40 minute time, so I'm looking for experienced riders like myself to join me on this ride.

Mogo State Forest update for 31 Jan

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Status:
Green/Open

The Loopy track is getting a bit overgrown but appart from that the track is still good. Loose underneath. Heavy rain 2 weeks ago made it very muddy but recent hot spell has resolved that. Track being eaten by local mototcross riders Sad
Glad it's there and wish Eurobodallashire council would recognise it's value.
