Is the State XC Championship at Margs part of the PMBC points series?

Hi Greggo,

No they are separate, the state series finished with the Dunsborough race and the winners were announced post race on the evening.

I will get the full list of points posted asap.

Is Masters for a certain age group only or can anyone enter?

Masters is 40 > 49, all of the catagories for the State Champs are age based except for Expert, Elite and Sport which are open based on your level of all round ability.

Hi Chris,
Do you know if we will get new plates for this event, or do we use the ones we had for the club series ?
Speaking of the club series, is there a final points tally anywhere ? Just wondering if I beat my mate.

ashley g's picture

Hey John,

Yeah just use the PMBC plate from the series (not the Dunsborough 3hr plate though)

I've actually been finalising the series points tonight. Should be out this week, all going well.

Robberdog's picture

Hiya, just wondering which group is for me age wise being a 38 year old male? Vets? Masters? Etc...

Silverback's picture

Hi Robberdog,

Veterans Men (30-39) if you want to enter your age group, the table above gives all the information for age grades, or if you are entering based on skill level then Elite, Expert or Sport are also options without an age limitation.

My plate went through the washing machine after Collie and the timing things fell off. Should I order a new one or try to stick them back on ?

Silverback's picture

Hi Blocky,

Come and see us in the morning before the race and we will sort you out, bring the plate, the sensors will be toast Smiling.

Cam_A's picture

I'm uncertain if I should be riding vets or expert - if I register now in one of them can this be changed before the race?

Silverback's picture

Hi Cam,

I have sent you a reply with my contact details.

Cheers Chris PMBC

I'm driving down on the day (wave 2) getting there about 9.00.. Is there a designated practice time on the Sunday?

Silverback's picture

Hi Everyone,

Please remember to bring your plate from the state series as we will use these for the state champs also. If you have not raced before you will need to pick up a plate at registration on the morning of the race ($5 fee to be paid on pick up).

If you have your plate and have entered your all good to go.

In relation to practice any time before the first wave starts you will be able to access the course. Once racing commences then its racers only. Its worth noting though there is plenty of trail available to warm up on without touching the racing line and this is fully available, just watch out for drop bears Smiling.

See you all down there.

Cheers Chris PMBC

We're abouts in the pines us the start finish and parking
Which is the best way in of carters road

Flat Out Forty's picture

I'm racing in the Masters at 11:40 but it says on the timetable that the plate collection is until 9:00. Am I able to collect my plate closer to my start time? I'm driving down on Sunday morning so would rather not have to get there so early.

Silverback's picture

Hi folks,

Parking at the Pines: If you have been to the Pines before then the same as the Cape to Cape red bull shoot out, off the main road just out north of the town, turn into the gravel road and follow it up to the parking peeps.

Picking up Plates:
Wont be a problem after 9am you may just have to wait a couple of minutes depending on what we are doing at the time you come up to the event tent Smiling. Please though getit done as early as possible to avoid any delays, would not want you to miss that start Smiling.

See you there.

You can make sure you're registered and see who you're riding with here:

Don't forget to bring your race plates! If you don't have one you can pick one up at the timing tent.

Just wondering what time presentations might be for the first race or if it will be after the second race?

I'm in no hurry to leave, just giving a backpacker a lift to Perth and trying to organize a time
