Kudos to the 10 NSCC members who rode the Newcrest Orange Challenge on March 4th.
With 167km and 2500m climbing over rough bitumen roads it was a hard day in the saddle and there were lots of cramped and sore riders at the finish line.
Stu Robertson, Steve Hume and Michael Coyne all took turns at the front and paid for it with cramps later in the ride.
JB even managed to get a flat even with his 32mm tyres! Who says fat tyres are better for rough roads?

It was an excellent cycling sportif event, and well worth putting in the calendar for 2019.

The results for the NSCC riders were:
Greg Johnson 4:41 (4th place)
Zaid Mohsen 5:14
Mark Templeton 5:14
Stuart Robertson 5:20
Michael Coyne 5:38
Jeff Dhu 5:49
Steve Hume 6:03
Justin Berry 6:05
Stuart Patch 6:35
Andrew Steen 6:36
