Glenrock Trail Alliance will be holding a workday on Saturday Dec. 8 Meet on-site at 9.30am.

We will be doing some patch-up work on Kenny’s Trail just around the big tree stump where the exposed tree roots have become an erosion and safety issue. There are a few other drainage and puddle issues around the area that we may have time to fix as well.

We’re not planning on making this a major re-build day. It’s just an informal kind of thing so we don’t need a lot of volunteers and hope to have it all done by midday.

The next Glenrock Trailwork day will be held on Saturday 15th of September.

We will be working in the area of Seismick Trail.
The work will be rebuilding the whole trail and in particular reshaping the berms. They will need to be hand packed with shovel and McLeod, so the more hands - the better.
The NPWS Field Officers have been on-site moving material to build this and we should be able to achieve a great result with substantially bigger berms – Oh yeah!
The NPWS Ranger, Kate will be providing a BBQ lunch for all volunteers to keep the energy levels up.

Bad weather immediately after the work was done meant that the trails didn’t have a chance to pack down before it was impacted by torrential and on-going rain
This is not meant to be a big day and we are not planning to build any new trail or features, we are just doing a general tidy-up of the previous work and checking drainage.

No lunch or drinks will be supplied so please bring your own snacks and water.

Meet on-site at 9.30am

Lets do 2-2.5 hours riding this Saturday at Manly Dam and the surrounding trails. The ride will take in parts of the Dam circuit, the Possum/Kevin Costner single track and the Pipeline fire road. I have ridden this area many times and do the regular Dam circuit (10.5km) in a sub 40 minute time, so I'm looking for experienced riders like myself to join me on this ride.

6 Shooter jumps are looking a bit sad so we will be bringing in some more material and doing some building up and re-shaping the jumps to give proper kicker and landings.

Be there - on-site about 9.30 am

Bring gloves, shoes, drinking water and a yellow GTA shirt if you have one

Tools will be supplied

I will be working with the NPWS guys during the week to get materials on site so we should only have to do the finishing and shaping work.
